At South Lincoln, students have the opportunity to work in one of the newest and best equipped high school laboratories in the Niagara Region. Students are able to better understand scientific concepts through hands-on activities, computer simulations, computer based data collection and library research projects. Science at South Lincoln is a great opportunity for students to examine the connections between science, society, technology and the environment.
Students moving forward into the grade 11 and 12 science programs are given the opportunity to design and build experiments based on scientific theories.
Each year, science students are given the opportunity to explore science outside the classroom. Volunteer trips to the Niagara Children's Water Festival, field trips to the Ontario Science Centre and participation in the York University Science Olympics are just a few of the opportunities available to science students at SLHS.
